Construction Site III

For part of my time in Darmstadt, Germany, I lived in the attic of a sports hall. The hall was located in a small area named Kranigstein. When I first got to know the place, it was completely surrounded by a farm, which made it quite unusual in that area. Unfortunately, progress always has its way, not to mention what money does, and the farmer sold his field to someone who built a large housing complex there.

This picture captures the stark, sometimes jagged, sometimes razor-edged, lines of that construction site. Such sites always seem to be full of straight, intersecting, perpendicular lines, where only two colors, light and shadow, rule.
